The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences congratulates Monica T. Billen, PhD student from the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education. Billen, assistant professor in the Kremen School of Education at California State University, will be presented with the 2016 AACTE Outstanding Dissertation Award at their 68th annual meeting. Billen completed her dissertation, “#Learningtoteach: Using Instagram to Elicit Pre-service Teacher Reflection” under the advisement of Richard Allington in 2015.
